Sales Growth Manager

At Unismack SA, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sales Growth Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is expected to be a strategic thinker and hands-on professional who excels in optimising sales targets, developing new revenue streams, improving customer experience, and securing sales growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Run market research activities to understand trends, customer needs, and competition and identify prospective customers and projects.
- Research and cold sales calling activities to establish new sales opportunities within an agreed geographical area, identify potential customers, generate leads, screen the leads, develop strategies to deal with key priority ones, initiate engagement and follow through to secure the opportunity.
- Determine potential sales growth opportunities with existing customers, after ensuring their strategies, growth plans, and needs are fully understood.
- Analyse potential customer needs, ensure a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and capabilities and develop appropriate product propositions by engaging effectively with customers and acting as a consultant or support agent to address their needs and convert that into ‘actual’ sales.
- Qualify all potential customer opportunities based on volumes, requirements, feasibility, and profitability.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Establish and maintain sales and profitability budgets for both existing and new customers.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of factory capabilities, product developments, lead times, shipping terms, etc.
- Work with the customer excellence, NPD, and production operations teams to effectively deliver the customer needs and requirements within the company’s guidelines.
- Regularly evaluate and refine sales processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Travel to existing/new customers as required.
- Travel to and support trade shows as required.
- All other reasonable duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:
- At least 5 years of involvement in sales/business development functions, ideally in the food industry with private label project focus
- International experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or related field
- Fluent in writing and speaking in English
- Computer literate
- Valid driver’s licence
